Basic Math Series

Basic Math for Level One (1st Grade) Individual Math Titles
The Level One series for Basic Math includes: Counting, Addition, Subtraction and Fact Families. They cover counting and number recognition 1-100, addition from 1+1 through 10+10 and their commutative partners, subtraction problems up to 21 - 10 with inverse operations and picture illustrations of facts shown, relationships between addition and subtraction, and building on simple facts to solve problems with bigger numbers.

Basic Math for Level Two (2nd Grade) Individual Math Titles
The Level Two series for Math includes: Fractions, Addition, Subtraction and Place Value. They cover simple fractions, addition of two, three and four digit numbers with re-grouping, math with money illustrations, correction of subtraction with addition, subtraction with re-grouping and using logic to solve more complicated problems, and place value taught with illustrations showing the value of numbers by placement within a column, i.e. ones, tens, and hundreds.

Concepts covered include:

Numeration 5.1 giving students practice and conceptual understanding of place value of large numbers, addition and subtraction of 5 and 6 digit numbers, multiplication of 2 and 3 digit numbers and other problems that can be done mentally, division of 3, 4, and 5 digit numbers, and expressing multiplication problems in exponential form.

Numeration 5.2 giving students practice and conceptual understanding of dealing with changing improper fractions to proper fractions, renaming fractions into their simples form, adding and subtracting fractions with different denominators, simple multiplication and division of fractions and finding ratios.

Numeration 5.3 giving students practice and conceptual understanding of place value of decimals, equivalents between fractions and decimals, rounding decimals to their nearest who numbers, adding and subtracting multiple place decimals, multiplying and dividing decimals, and matching fractions and decimals to percentages.

Learning Palette for Reading will help students gain essential skills including:
